SnoCope was started in 1959 by a group of employees from Snohomish
County. In the early days the Credit Union transactions were done at
lunch time at an employee's desk.
As the Credit Union grew, office space
was provided in the flat top, white, building at the corner of the County
Complex. This site is now where the new parking garage is standing.
In 1983, the Credit Union moved to its present site at 3130 Rockefeller
and for several years rented part of it's building out to Snohomish County
Departments. Today the Credit Union has grown to occupy the entire
building and has become a community chartered credit union, serving
anyone that lives, works, worships or goes to school in Snohomish
County.
